Program Overview

What is TEFA?

The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program is a state-funded initiative designed to give Texas families flexibility in their child's education. Starting in the 2026–2027 school year, eligible families can access state funds to pay for private school tuition, homeschooling materials, and specialized services like those offered at BCS Brain Wave.
